In all honestly I've never noticed a correlation, and I suspect it may just be confirmation bias.
OTOH it may just be that:
People only care about women being harmed -> when women being harmed comes into the public eye, that is the only time when the topic is even on anyones mind -> that's when people think "oh yeah, men are a thing"
As opposed to some evil conspiracy trying to steal attention away and deflect efforts so they can continue their raping.
Well, Ed I meant that, for example my life story ( or at least from childhood to teens part) would:
a) make MGTOW's nut themselves, because they could use it for their bullshit
b) all the little trollxers and their defenders like The Lord from that thread would rise from their subs to point out "that women have it worse" or call my experiences a #thathappened story.
c) because of this " men have 0 problems" attitude and hundreds of fake stories, there's little reason to talk about male issues on reddit, because if you do that, them everybody would tag you as an MRA.
The timing!! I have no issue with the threads, however, my issue with them is that they only appear when women speak out. Obviously, we need to care about the assault / harassment of both genders, but it seems shady to only bring it up if women are speaking out.
u/lordhanley what problems do you imagine women have, first world women are the most privileged and comfortable people who have ever walked under God's blue sky
It's more like "the only time men feel remotely safe talking about being victims of sexual abuse in this society, which DNGAF about male suffering, is when all of society is focused on the topic (by way of women, the only way it ever happens).
Could you marry a daughter off to me so I get a green card? If I can get to the the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, I'll happily be your bull.
What drama does u/Ed_Butteredtoast bring besides retarded cartoon posts or complaining about his mediocrity? Link something good or keep yourself safe.

And this is why ( amongst other reasons) I'll never talk about my past on reddit Ed...well I did once, still not in a mainstream sub.

To clarify, do you have problem with timing of said threads, or that threads like these are posted at all?

Well, in that case my slightly drunk self has little to no problems with your opinion.
There is other, more problematic user in that comment chain π.
Now, on the other hand - what's your opinion about men, who used # metoo openly on twitter?
1 dollhovse 2018-02-20
I have no problem with that, either. The topic there is sexual assault / harassment in general!

Fair enough, I don't really want to continue this because I've had a decent amount of abuse for stating my opinion
1 OnePercentOfMonster 2018-02-20
lmao those rare instances when women talk about sexual abuse

/u/lordhanley men have problems. Right now my major problem is that I can't find a bull for my wife. Will you do me the honor of fucking her?
