you don't know me some redditors on/r/politics probably do.
/u/postimusmaximus I can't tell if we're reaching quantum levels of irony even I can't comprehend or you unironically thought that was a a great way to open a post meant to be taken seriously.
r/politics is a classic example of self-selection. It's biased towards the left because enough people on the right want to feel so persecuted by the media and everyone else they just won't go there.
Or they lack self-control and get banned for breaking the rules, but blame it on their political leanings because they lack any sense of personal responsibility, ironically.
/r/politics is a Russian propoganda effort. The goal isn't to create a bunch of moron fascists, it's to create a divide in the country and /r/politics users are the other side of the stupid coin. The whole point is to put you against the Donald you absolute moron.
They have been taking advantage of all issues we care about and playing both sides. They impersonated black activists and Nazi activists and created fake fights to trigger cultural warfare.
They did the same thing to environmental and energy causes too. They played the renewables side and the fossil fuels side. They sent honeypots deep into Leo Di Caprio's camp to seduce people around him.
In last decade they were also sending agents into the fitness sector to put all sorts of wally conspiracy ideas into the heads of athletes and fitness stars who have many thousands of followers. They started promoting all sorts of anti-science ideas like fluoride conspiracies, anti-vax, alkaline diets, fake cancer cures, etc.
There was also a flood of highly dangerous contaminated black market steroids in that sector that came from the east, but not just Russia. Grigory Rodchenkov mentions these dirty drugs in Icarus.
But is that true? I asked google something along the lines of "di caprio russians seduced" and the most meaningful link on the first page of results was to that buttcoin thread.
Who would have thought people who don't understand crypto currencies wpuld have huge overlap with people who don't understand how websites and conspiracies work.

Again, I post analysis of Trump-Russia stories, there really isn't a better place for me to post than /r/politics.
Its cute that all you kids equate /r/politics with Russian propaganda efforts though.
