So I cannot name the play but I am writing my portfolio and my opening line is about why I chose the play but I only chose it cause the others were boring. Can someone give me some reasons on why I would chose a play, also the cast if more than 2 people and less than 5 ;). Cheers!

Write a hook about how the play stands out to you somehow, or draw a parallel between a main theme in the play and your own life/experiences. You wanted a cast of between 2 to 5 because it's a good amount with which the audience can appreciate individual actors' talents and versatility (if they're performing in more than one role) without having them stand out as much as actors to the point where it ruins immersion in the place. Or you could just look up the pros and cons of different cast sizes and go from there. There you go, alt of somebody who keeps making up these weird human interest stories.

Do all this with this play

and here's the Spark Notes

The Glass Menagerie

The Glass Menagerie is a memory play by Tennessee Williams that premiered in 1944 and catapulted Williams from obscurity to fame. The play has strong autobiographical elements, featuring characters based on Williams himself, his histrionic mother, and his mentally fragile sister Rose. In writing the play, Williams drew on an earlier short story, as well as a screenplay he had written under the title of The Gentleman Caller.

The play premiered in Chicago in 1944.
