Seriously though, if she just shrugged when you confronted her about this, and that's how she feels about a struggling middle school student... she's really fucked in the head.
Like, even if this Allen kid was a total douche... he's what, 13 years old? And he's there to learn, she's there to teach. You don't treat children poorly when they behave poorly, you teach them how to behave properly. And for all we know, Allen is a great kid and she's still going along with it. So she's either just evil, or ridiculously evil.
Obviously the being together 4 years bit makes it a lot harder. But if this was just an acquaintance I knew? I'd kick their ass to the curb and go to the school administration.
