DO NOT FALL FOR THE CAST IRON MEME! Non-stick pans work better and are easier to clean, you just replace them every year because you're not a fucking poor.
Muh seasoning meme! Sorry I don't wan't burnt food on all my food use modern convenience you fucking animals.
I got one and I like it. I do not use it for everything. They are not hard to clean. Everything comes off with warm water and a scrub brush. Easier cleaning that other pans or glass. Then you throw it on the stove at 3 for a minute, spray with pam and wipe it out. Cast iron heats more evenly and at lower stove temperatures ie your pan is hot in the whole thing and I can cook at 5 instead of 8 on the gas supply. I turn the gas up as I add more stuff it is easier to get browning. My pan came pre-seasoned so I don't get that meme still I like my cast iron for a couple of times I cook a week something more than an egg or a grilled cheese.
The best thing is to use carbonized mesquite charcoal (not briquets) which are hard to light (pro tip make a column of rolled up newspaper circles and stack the charcoal around it then light it like a volcano) and the temp you should cook at should be when you hand feels hot but not burning. Also, pre-salt with chunkier salt an hour before you cook and flip the meat once no more. Cook about 10 minutes a side depending on the thickness. Eggs & small, delicate pieces of fish. That's about it, as far as I can tell.

Would that be cast-iron or non-stick?
