There’s definitely better measures for determining if/to what degree a person is overweight, no doubt - especially for people who aren’t of European descent. I don’t actually think you’re fat, nor do I care if you are - I’m just trying to look cool in front of the other autists.

It's a stupid metric that virtually all medical professionals agree is pretty useless

BMI pretty much never miscalculates obesity unless you're a bodybuilder, especially with women - it's more likely to be wrong in the other direction. You'd be very hard pressed to find even a woman bodybuilders on steroids that has an obese BMI, because women just don't carry that much muscle.

It's not perfect, but people who are overweight because of muscle, don't tend to be the ones complaining about it.

Any community built around an interest group has its fair share of morons and intelligent people. Nonetheless, the groupthink on these boards tends to turn caustic towards "enemy" groups. /r/conservative, /r/politics, /r/atheism, /r/pussypassdenied, and TrollX.

So keep in mind the next time you see some lady bitching about the evil patriarchy, that she is just the female equivalent of a neckbeard complaining about how unfair it is that women don't treat him well.
