You might be confused. You keep using the word hyperloop, but the electric skateboard plan is a completely different concept. It doesn’t have anything to do with the hyperloop besides both being in tubes and there is no vaccum or low pressure involved.
We don't need tunnels and hyperloop which is impractical idea by the way. What we need is more resource investmenr in wider roads and better public transpirtation system.

My buddy was really into the hyperloop when it was first gaining steam. Talking about how one day you would be able to go coast to coast in under an hour. He didn't seem deterred at all when I pointed out that it probably won't be legal to just launch pedestrians down a tube at over 5 Gs.
People wouldn't be able to handle the level of acceleration required to make it from LA to New York in an hour even if we could theoretically reach that top speed. Especially the fat and old ones.
