/r/buttcoin isn't really about bitcoin, it's about the horrible community pushing it. The actual technology is kinda neat, but the people behind it are generally horrible. People like /u/biglambda genuinely believe that you are an idiot if you haven't bought some of his Chuck E Cheese tokens because they are the future of money and you will be dirty poor without them. He 'reees' in there every day like a windup doll.
I actually don't think that. I don't care if you buy bitcoin and I've even prevented family members from buying bitcoin IRL. If you never bought bitcoin and you don't care about it, good for you. If you don't have any bitcoin and you devote lots of time to participating in a circle jerk, that can't get it's head around reality, also known as /r/buttcoin then yes, I'm laughing out you: You've made a plan to lose hard.
I haven't actually bought any cryptocurrency since 2015. The most I ever paid for a Bitcoin was $250 and the most I ever paid for a Monero was $1. So it's quite the opposite my friend.
