The Lovely-mandy.net debacle

Almost every celebrity has at least one huge coppermine gallery that contains every picture ever taken at every public event that celebrity has ever attended. For some reason, Mandy Moore has always gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to this.

First, a history lesson. Mandy-media.net shut down in 2006. At the time it was the only coppermine gallery to have every picture ever taken at every public event she'd ever attended. A new site, mooreofmandy.com, opened in 2007. This one was almost as good as mandy-media, but for some inexplicable reason the owner of that site never added any pictures from any public events from 2005 or 2006. Mooreofmandy shut down a few years later. So as long ago as 2007 there was already a big problem with Mandy pics dissapearing ftom the net.

Then, in the fall of 2017, a new site called lovely-mandy.net opens. It's finally the thing we've been wanting for 10 years, a huge coppermine gallery containing every picture from every public event she's ever attended. I was overjoyed and even sent a nice thank you to the webaster. Less than a week after I found this site, the owner suddenly shuts it down without any sort of forewarning.

I know that fansites shut down all the time, but the webmaster of this particular site had a VERY unethical attitude about it. First of all, her failure to forsee that she was going to run out of time and money to do the site was pretty naive of her. Also, as soon as she did run out, she made absolutely no attempt to keep it up when there are plenty of things she could have done. Never have I ever seen a gallergy of that size vanish so abruptly after only being up for such a short time. And I even saw her ignore a tweet from someone who offered to help keep it up after she announced the site's closure on Twitter (last time I checked she hadn't tweeted anything since december, but i do know that she went by the name Lilac.)

There are still two Mandy Moore coppermine galleries still up, but neither of them are anywhere as good as lovely-mandy.net was. I'm getting tired of how nobody has been paying attention to this rant and helping me start "mandygate", because I am about 99.99999% sure that this webmaster's attitude was stubborn and obtuse enough to justify starting a net-wide controversy big enough for her to find out about it and apologize and/or make up for it

I tried to do that. All I could get my hands on were low-rez pics, and after getting distracted and coming back to it a few months later after deciding that using my laptop would be less tedious than using my phone, I discovered that sosugary had deleted it. I need someone help me figure out how to keep that from happening again, how to snag high-quality unwatermarked pics off sites like Gettyimages, and why I couldn't figure out how to get the custom banner I made to show up at the top of the screen
