Give me one thing in the post that disparages either American liberal or conservative viewpoints. What I'm criticizing is the way we demonize and refuse to communicate with each other and how we've become so entrenched in our little tribes that we are completely unwilling/ unable to even try to see things from the other side's perspective. Not to agree with the other side wholeheartedly, or take a middle path, but to communicate and think critically. I've attempted to do that and I'm about as socialist as you Danes are now. Thinking about things and entertaining other perspectives and treating other people like they're actual valuable human beings doesn't make you a centrist, it makes you decent.
