Pro-immigration seems like such a strange stance for socialism. Immigration is used primarily in the west to undercut wages for low-skill labour by increasing labour supply. Further, hard-left parties/intellectuals were very anti-immigration until the 1970s for just that reason. The same thing with LGBT rights, Marx himself wrote of it being bourgeoise perversion and it was generally considered a bad thing (not as fundamentally as immigration) by the hard left until the 70s.

The socialist movement has always been internationalist and open borders in character. Marxist-Leninists were really bad about this though. They started out by abolishing visas and establishing free movement, within a few months they had reintroduced them, and within about a decade they introduced a complicated set of internal visas that restricted movement within the Soviet Union itself. You cannot claim that the ideological core was not against tight border controls though. Visas and blockage of free movement are artificialities introduced after the totalitarianism of World War I, it's the one totalitarian measure that was never removed. It didn't even exist during the time of the origins of socialism.
