So my mom met her cat fish a few months back (I had no idea about this until yesterday). Her cat fish claimed to be named John Anderson, sculptor from Phoenix, and has an Austrian accent. He tricked my mom into loving him and wanting to get married. He also got her to sent him $900 even though he claimed to be rich (side note: my mom is very ignorant and I have no respect for her from the start because of other personal reasons). To continue the story, John said he would return the $900 with interest within a few weeks (my mother stole the money from my older brother by the way). So when she told me about him, what he looks like, how rich he is, what he does, his art work, etc. I decided to do an image search on his photos he sent her (another side note: she was going to run a way with this guy, get married and try for kids without meeting him through video at least). His work was other artists works, but his photos weren’t online. I told her, she confronted, and instead of him trying to prove himself, he got angry at her. So the next day, he computer got a virus asking for account info to get rid of the virus..which was scary. The catfishing thing was done on her phone and she plugs her phone to her laptop to back up all the time. She also takes great care of her laptop. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the day before her computer got the virus on it that she confronted her catfisher. And not to mention, she sent photos of me and brothers to this guy. So I’m taking precautions as well. Moral of the story? A random person can’t make your life better for you, you can’t trust someone you met online, and most importantly..be happy with what you have. My mother will never be happy with what she has until there’s a gateway opportunity to get away from the life she has now (my mother is a narcissistic uncaring cheating idiot). And honestly, karma is a bitch. So hopefully this story helps those who are getting catfished by this man or who likes a good dramatic story. Blessed be.
