Then you spied on their private communications where a bunch of angry losers vent their frustration with empty threats, and decided to treat that as if they menacingly showed up on your porch hefting weapons and ribbed condoms.
My two guy friends who had been leaking the texts to me were pissed that I reported it, as it would start “unnecessary drama”.
... Okay those guys deserve a good chunk of the blame.

That's not really a "joke", it's empty posturing because they know they aren't going to/can't do anything. If you had any empathy for men whatsoever you'd have learned that through observation a long time ago.
Gang rape is not a joke, and it bothers me that guys in my grade would get mad at ME for reporting a threat like that, not at the dude who texted it in the chat.
They should be mad at themselves for being snitches, especially for something so harmless.
