why does the OWL have so much more negative press regarding their players than any other esport? off the top of my head:
CS:go- scamming websites for loot or some shit
league- a caster leaked dick pics
dota- a tier 4 na player beat his gf, but i dont even think that qualifies bc of how obscure he was
ow-racism, sexism, pedophilia so far probably more
also on an unrelated note, the playerbase of all blizzard games are noticeably worse than the playerbases of other games, its baffling but something about that company (which hasn't made a good game since frozen throne/vanilla wow) attracts the absolute dredges of gamers which are already the dredges of society
Blizzard went out of their way to make a hyper-inclusive game with a lesbian mascot and characters of every ethnicity under the sun
naturally that drew the progressives and the legbeard press like magnets so now even the slightest un-PC misstep is denounced as loudly and widely as possible by this ecology of virtue signallers
in short blizzard made their bed and now they’re lying in it
