And then no energy is spent getting that money sent from point of sale locations to a bank to turn the dollars into usable digital currency. no processing power is used to convert those paper bills into account, it's just one guy hand counting all the bills and recording balances on a paper ledger.

And all that is ignoring the thing I said first, proof of stake exists and is one of the many reasons my original comment said bitcoin and bcc are both trash with an expiration date. The cost to make a $100 bill is about $0.132, while a the cost to mine a single bitcoin ranges from $531-26,170. Plus fiat a transaction doesn't need of electricity and internet.

You don't need to know anything about proof of stake to use crypto, just like you don't need to know anything about central banking to use fiat. But if you don't know anything about how cryptos work you're unqualified to have an opinion. Almost all fiat transactions are done over the internet.

It's condemning the moderators for trying to break the functionality of btc (regular bitcoin), which would force people to upgrade to Bitcoin Cash, right?

You are forgiven for misunderstanding given that the text on their sidebar is badly worded. The phrasing is so tortuous because it is so partisan.

What they are doing is condemning the main bitcoin for in their eyes forcing them to use a minority fork, when main bitcoin folks didn't opt to change over to the new system that allows larger blocks. They then link to a sub and a FAQ that advocates for bitcoin cash.
