This is what happens when online is your only (or main) praxis. You start thinking online beefs and fringe subcultures are representative of reality, and craft a politics around that. Not at all surprising that this would lead to someone denouncing members of the broader left to a clear enemy.
I'm not an ML, but pretending like they are as a whole synonymous with the edgy online tankie is some serious bullshit. A large portion of the global left is ML. People doing real work, not posting memes. I have political differences with many of these people but I'm not going to literally propagandize for the enemy against them by conflating my very online beefs for actual politics.
