He's a clinical psychologist and his "advice" is exactly what I'd expect a clinical psychologist to say. Mindfulness, being purposeful, having aspirations, all that jazz. As the child of a clinical psychologist I don't find any of this stuff particularly crazy or unexpected and on top of that his "political" positions on topics like free speech were pretty much standard liberal political positions not too long ago. Hell Obama even gave a speech before leaving office that could have been written by Mr. McMemerson himself.
So yeah, if anything is scorn worthy it's some of the supporters and almost all of the detractors. He, himself, is just a guy spouting what is essentially mainstream opinion.
