I see three plausible general categories of outcome:
A) Tension builds to the point of breaking where the sides become irreconcilable and therefore essentially balkanize.
B) Tension builds to the point that the backlash becomes forceful suppression where one side establishes itself as dominant. (I consider this a worst-case scenario)
C) Some sort of Reformation movement gives the vast majority a way to reject the dichotomy peacefully.
They actually believe that all this will happen as a result of Magic: The Gathering cards being redesigned, or anime tiddie simulators getting bad localizations.
Western Civilization survives - outside the West. Much as the Hellenistic world was kept alive by the Romans, and the Roman world kept alive by the Renaissance one, and hell, the Chinese world was preserved by the Mongols (and then restored), Earth's mightiest civilization remains healthy, preserved and cared for by other civilizations. White people become stateless, but highly valued by other countries. Genetic engineering likely becomes viable, making racial identity, community, and contribution to a civilization very, very important, and rendering the extinction of a race a near impossibility.
