It's always bothered me that liberals (with some exceptions like Bill Maher) are unwilling to call out abuse in Islam. As a social liberal myself, I'm very vocal about abuse within Mormonism specifically and Islam's abuses are so much worse.

Most liberals are willing to "call out Islam." the problem with Trumptards and the political right is their hatred for Islam has nothing to do with the religion, or the abuses within the religion and everything to do with race, or racial culture.
The religion is just a convenient avenue of attack. Something they can latch onto to mask the true motivation or intent.
You see this same thing with immigration. They'll start screeching about illegal immigration and then start talking about racial quotas and shit. The "illegality" is just a mask, a convenient avenue of attack that allows them to screech about the browns.
There's a reason "Deus vult" is such a popular meme in these circles. People concerned with religious extremism don't run around the internet using crusader battle cries.
