Our Police force keeps getting its budget cut, stabbings are on the rise in London, but the Met's hate crime unit is still 900 strong. When Russia finally nukes us we'll deserve it.
Considering all Instagram users are deserving of the death penalty by default I think the Judge was quite forgiving. The clear mark of a system striving for rehabilitation, not just punishment.
“A heaping helping of fried chicken
Macaroni and cheese and collard greens
Too big for my jeans
Smoke steams from under the lid that's on the pot
Ain't never had allot but thankful for
The little that I got why not be
Fast food got me feeling sick
Them crackers think they slick
By trying to make this bullshit affordable
I thank the Lord that my voice was recordable”
What were the lyrics? Would the news company get raided by the cops if they posted the lyrics?
The song lyric was 'nigga' and given how prolific that word is in rap music, I wonder how come iTunes hasn't been slapped with a billion pounds in fines yet, but for some reason the police had enough time and energy to drag this woman into court.
I don't doubt that racial label (who knows what it could have been? They're being quite niggardly with information) was repeated many times in that courtroom as evidence and as a discussion tool.
Was this equally offensive to the Hate Crimes Unit leader? If not, how is it different to the racial label being used in a context to memorialise somebody? 6 marks.

Yes, it's probably just as illegal for them to post the lyrics.

Broadcasting companies are exempt from the law afaik, which really makes you think.

According to this article, this was the line she posted:

Empower the state to suppress ideologically offensive speech
Watch as the pendulum swings yet again and an opposing populist movement gains control of said state
See the hate speech laws you helped pass get used against your group, and realize power is the only thing a tyrant state is loyal to
Enlightenment era thinkers figured this shit out a while ago, but it looks like we're due for another practical lesson.

The American justice system might be pretty fucked-up, but at least we don't get grounded for saying bad words.

Their government had to make an example out of someone or else the bongs might stop paying the fee to renew their racial slur licenses.

Like how the fuck does that even work? Is there a bobbie who comes to her flat to tuck her in?
