Holy shit, that article is inaccurate. The 'incel' movement initially began with Dr. Brian Gilmartin in the 80's with his research on 'loveshy' people. That woman may have started a forum early on, and maybe the term was coined there, but the incel community in the form we see today started developing on loveshy forums. You can't just jump from an early 90's forum for people who can't get laid to the incel movement today without touching upon how the culture actually formed. smh
