Based off of what her natural hair looks like, it's pretty likely her hair is chemically treated. Hotel shampoo tends to be pretty bad, so it dries out your hair, which can make it brittle.

It's a reasonable thing to complain about, I suppose, but since it seems like every woman I know who uses relaxer insists that only one specific shampoo works for their hair, and they all have a different preference, it's probably more realistic to just bring your own.

And, of course, there is the fact that nobody actually thinks hotel shampoo is worth using unless you literally have no other option, or are so bald that pretty much any shampoo is viable anyway.

What does she say that the shampoo alienates people of color by providing white people shampoo, though? It's like she thinks all people of color have nappy hair or something.
