If you live in a big city, you will be asked for money every time you leave your house. it doesn't matter if you drive to avoid the poors on public transit or downtown, they will be people asking you for money walking from your car to the grocery store or restaurant.
Sometimes they will even go inside the restaurant or on the patio where you are eating like in this British case.

I've never seen a homeless person walk into a restaurant, idk if this is a big city thing outside of London
