MRW I'm using my home gym and a gaggle of nasally, screechy drunk college girls stumble loudly past my house and I think to myself, "I will never get trapped with one of those when she hits 30 and wants to find a wallet to marry and something beautiful to destroy" 🙏🙏🙏

Your penis doesn't count as a home gym, silly

I really want a home gym.
Right now I own a flat in the city and while it's really convenient for a lot of things (my office for instance is in walking distance) there's just no space for the stuff that I want. Because of this I have a stupidly expensive gym membership since there is only one gym in the city that has the setup for Olympic lifting (and will allow you to do it) and as such they can pretty much charge whatever they want.
It's honestly really frustrating. I have enough equity in my flat that I could sell it and put a down payment on a nice house in an inner city suburb, which would give me the room to have the things that I want, but the trade off then is that I'll have to commute to work. Sure, it's only a 20-30 minute trip from most of the close suburbs, but it's a real shock when I'm used to just waking up 30 minutes before work and still being able to make it in time. On top of that, then I'm locked into a mortgage on a house that I might not want.
Maybe it's better for me to rent out my flat and then rent a house right now instead of buying. I mean, you never know what might happen in the future and inner city flats rent for a lot of money here (500+ a week for a 1 bedroom)
What do you think r/drama?

I think you should try going to bed earlier and getting a little more time in the morning. It's a nice change, and one of those alarms that wakes you up when ur in a light sleep helps.

Stick with the flat until you've tricked some bird into living with you. The convenience of the inner city is too good.

You don't have to trick a bird, just buy one. 😆

I have to shit for 35-50 minutes when I wake up but then again I always make sure to get up 3 hours before work. 1 hour to poop and stretch, 1 hour to make breakfast, 1 hour to get to work. When I lived in the city I had a 2 hour commute to work. Commuting is fine. Ditch the flat, 30 minutes is nothing and you can read a book on the way, get your mind conditioned along with your body.
