I hate seeing the "Well Luke blew up the Death Star, so Rey isn't a Mary Sue"
When is the last time they have seen A New Hope?
Luke gets constantly ridiculed, gets the shit kicked out of him multiple times (literally would have died to the trash and random people at a bar), and fails quite a number of times (remember he fails to his Stormtroopers during the prison block segment so Leia takes his gun away).
This doesn't go away in Empire either, Return of the Jedi is the first time he's totally in control, but it's deserved because of the buld up that we got.
This means Luke actually has constant character development, where we see him learn and grow unlike Rey.
In other words, starting a character as a whiny kid who doesn't want to do errands can be a good thing.
I have no idea why is makes me always write out a post if I see it. I know for a fact I have post on KIA and Gamerghazi where I rant about it, after people said stuff.
