If the law says it's cool, it's cool. Also this tendency to infantilize adults is a bit worrying, they can get a job, go to war even but dating someone a bit older than them they can't? That's silly.
Even autistic 16 year olds can shoot up their family (not pulling out of my ass, it happened), so "go to war" is irrelevant, nobody can escape taxes so getting a job is irrelevant.
But keeping a healthy relationship is a whole different thing, I mean, amount of autists on reddit who could do it could be counted on a single hand, so here's that.
Whenever I see this "power differential" stuff brought up it seems like this should be less impactful for age gap relationships directly and more just for anything where there's an income gap. A rich guy dating a poor girl surely represents more of a power differential than a 35 year old dating a 20 year old if they're both making 50k/year, right /u/Tifip?
Should we find any sort of dating across any axes of oppression "kinda wrong" on these grounds?

Srsly /relationships is such a conservative crowd. You'd think he was a minor they way they carry on. I can understand the guys concern. I got a joker scar too and it does impact the self confidence. Anyway, 2 consenting adults can do whatever they want with each other.
He's not wrong by those votes, though your definition of conservative is probably not what they are going by but sexually conservative. Being so much of reddit are virgins or just in their first relationship I find much of reddit is very conservative sexually when it comes to relationships unless you are on a sub thats specifically about some kink.

When I was in college and 21ish, I hooked up with a 45 year old.
It wasn't the greatest thing ever, felt like fucking a cave, but man, she could go down like a champ.
Anyway my point is, wait until the Sardines hear that this sort of shit happens all the time and no one gives a fuck.

He's not self-confident because of his scar so dating him at even the same age is wrong- This is your brain on SRDine.

TBH this is why I oppose trying to engineer a truly "just" society. It would mean a lot of restrictions on what people can do. Okay srsposting over.

Men are stronger than women so all straight sex is rape.
