No, you phrased it the way you did because people nonchalantly rape and pervert languages every single day. They strip words of their meaning, and, with their wishy-washy, imprecise and flat-out wrong choice of words, make a mockery of linguistics, philosophy and psychology. The concept of pride is a very prominent offender when it comes to this, when in reality people mean to say that they are "happy that x" and not "proud that x".

You should not regret the post. You should regret the way you phrased it and your faulty usage - or maybe even faulty understanding (?) - of pride. You still not acknowledging this simple issue is telling me all I need to know, "knucklehead".
