You'd think that having swam in the warm seas of piss that are the meme tides of the internet, Vox, Vice et al would understand how memes are born.
Every meme is a satire or parody of some other thing, often times another meme. Of COURSE "This is America" is going to get memed. It's basically screaming out for it, demanding it, taunting people to do it. Then, as is the way of things, those memes will be metamemed (Vice already shows someone making a meme about how it feels with TIA is being memed, so we're already to the second layer of meta) and so on until that entire genetic meme tree gets stale and people move on.
I'd make a comment about how incredi-shitty these 2nd semester communications drop-outs are at their so-called jobs, but that is a meme that has been done to death.
