I don't think colonists are better, just different, and in some ways, more honest.

The ideal immigrant is the person who has every intention of assimilating into the parent culture. For a variety of reasons (volume, US culture and politics) it seems like recent waves of US immigrants are doing a poor job at assimilating. You see this reflected in groups like La Raza, hordes of people waving Mexican flags at leftist protests/riots, and high concentration of central american immigrants in specific areas of the country.

In this way, they are behaving more like colonists than immigrants. Naturally, conflict is inevitable between the colonizers and the parent culture (most leftist literature would agree with me here lol). As a member of the parent culture, I don't want that kind of conflict in my country. So I don't want anymore "immigrants".

I think that's pretty reasonable.
