every time I get summoned here, I have a quick look around and find that this place gets worse and worse, it's like a black hole which mangles everything that gets sucked into it. src
She's a dumb cunt for sure, but one thing I'll never understand is why companies back down to this sort of pressure when literally none of the people who got upset by the tweet watch the show
It's been like 3 hours, only the severely internet addicted even know this happened. The real fall out comes over the following days and weeks when all the other black people in the network start to talk about it and protest and shit.
Its network TV, advertisers probably threatened to pull out. Execs won't run a prime time sitcom if Coke and McDonalds don't want to be associated with conspiracy tweets
I get that but in all honesty is there really any blowback that happens to advertisers? Not being a dick I actually have my doubts if most people have the attention span to take it that far beyond a three day boycott
They're more concerned with tarnishing "the brand". Like, they've spent literally billions on establishing a reputation and image of themselves in consumers minds. And if they keep being put next to stuff that contradicts that image, then all money is wasted.
Here I am thinking that all the fucking reboots of 90s and 00s show should just fucking die and the millenial nerds wallowing in nostalgia should accept that they are fucking old know and just fuck up on the garbage pill of advertisment focus groups.
I never liked her and never understood why other minions of Daddy were all jumping on that train. You really want a hollywood celebrity to counter others? And you want them to be preaching Trumpism? It's so stupid.

I'm not so misanthropic where i think everyone who watches Roseanne is as much of a racist moron.

I don't think everyone who watches the show is one, but most of the people freaking out about this probably didn't watch it anyway is what I'm saying

Just find new advertisers. I bet they'd sell a ton of Male Vitality pills if they advertised during those slots.

Ask Glenn Beck how it's going.

Wanda Skykes announced on Twitter that she was quitting the show today (pre-cancellation).

Because it doesn't matter how many racists watch a show if the advertisers aren't willing to have their brands associated with it.
The viewers don't write checks. Advertisers do.

They aren't really concerned about a boycott.
They're more concerned with tarnishing "the brand". Like, they've spent literally billions on establishing a reputation and image of themselves in consumers minds. And if they keep being put next to stuff that contradicts that image, then all money is wasted.

No one should be upset that a reboot was canceled.
