You could say the same about anyone who brings up the term "extremist." Defining your position relative to some other group isn't usually a sign of intellectual rigor.
I don't think they're that close, tbh. People that base their political identity on being "against the establishment" are retarded because in the event they do win, they've become the establishment, and then the people that helped elect these "anti-establishment" figures into office are back to square one.
It's kind of like those music elitists that get really big into some small band, and when said band blows up, all of the sudden they hate that band and start looking for another fringe band to brag about.
Funny how when Glenn Greenwald was leaked something that even slightly made the right look bad he instantly exposed her and she was arrested in a matter of hours.
