TLDR:
Recently the same developer who installed malware to harvest user passwords was caught installing unknown 'DRM' which disguises itself as 'cmdprompt.exe' in the system32 folder (sketchy as fuck). Needless to say, the community was not happy when this came to light. As damage control, their PR person doubled down by threatening to sue the mod team unless they censored the subreddit. When the mod team informed the community of this they then did their best politician impression in the linked post and the subreddit went to making the popcorn.
