Hahaha, ayyy this actually made me laugh quite a bit.
Don't forget you also demonstrated in your interview that you can suck a golf ball through a garden hose! That too was helpful in getting you admitted.
Favourite scene? From S04E09 Dennis Reynolds: An Erotic Life where Dee tries to walk in Charlie's shoes by seeing how he lives. Idk but the scene where Frank enters and starts "wolfing down" cat food makes me lose it, every.single.time! lol
Yep, that show, the wire, dexter, Seinfeld, and like a handful of other show are about all I’ve ever watched in Their entirety. Early sopranos was the best
I can't power through The Sopranos :(((((((((((((((((
I just "bore quit" during mid S02E12. I kinda liked s01, thinking it's just the beginning. S02 took a real hard turn down SNOOZEVILLE.
It's more drama than "gangster shit" and i love drama everwhere but even that got boring. Subplots that don't go nowhere. the whole mafia business side of the story gets boring fast. None of the characters are likeable* (Silvio and Paulie are fucking hilarious but tbh they're there for comedic relief).
What i liked where the therapy sessions and even those went down the shitter. Tony seems interested and angry and Jennifer tries to be more and more passive aggressive.
There was nothing in the show that was hooking me. Friends of mine think it's kino too but i'm baffled about what they even like? I don't mind the slow pace but it there's nothing that gets me interested to continue to watch it. Even True Detective or Breaking Bad or House of Cards can be slow af at times but you something will come up.
I agree 100% with the sopranos, but I forgot to mention True detective. I really liked that first season. For me, true detective season 1 raised the bar so high that I doubt that any other series will ever come even close to it.
Lets focus on the title of the series - “True Detective”. It says that the series is about the true life of a detective (and as you watch the series you realize that it generalizes to the truth about about all life). So if you are someone who is fed up with the countless utopian detective series out there and wants a taste of realism ,TD is wat you want imo
Another aspect of TD that makes it stand out when compared with Sopranos is its comprehensiveness. The way the director has taken all aspects of life and interwoven them into the series is something I had never before seen in anything. It contains everything form philosophy to psychology to relationships to ethics to crime to tragedy.
The two main characters Rust and marty have vastly different personalities. Rust is a pessimist , loner, workaholic , idealist without a family while marty is a regular type dude with family and family problems. They represent largely the two types of men in society. Their partnership is not the ideal sherlock and watson type , but instead is beset with frictions, misunderstandings , fights and blackmail, thus making it far more close to reality. Idk it’s one of the better shows I’ve seen.
same. Also, i'm not gonna lie, the ending seemed kinda weak to me but tbh, the way i understand TD, it doesn't need some glorified ending. The "journey" is way more interesting and fulfilling.
i haven't seen s02 tho, don't intend to either lol.

i mean even they have some differences but nothing like Rust and Marty
Hahahaha yep it’s one of those shows people will stake their claim on. I’ll say this, dude that played Tony was a good actor, and the crazy dream sequences when he was in a coma were cool. I’d never watch it again though.
Didn’t follow that closely and had been years. Right after he gets shot, there are those crazy dream sequences over several episodes. They were well done imo
The only season I thought was weak was three. I think that they originally must have been planning for Frank to be an intermittent character and they didn't know what to do with him at first when he became a fixture of the show.

I don’t care for David Cross tbh

i like him, kinda. GOB and buster are the best. Then George Sr.
Also forget S04, S05 is equally, if not more garbage :(

Never got into it. Need to give it a second glance. Need to watch the last sunny seasons tbh.

That’s a really solid episode. The DENNIS system is up there in my book, but hard to pin point episodes.

good stuff too!! The episode i was bored by the most was The Gang Gets Trapped
