I'm not even sure what your point is. Yeah I'd rather sleep with a dakimakura of my waifu Renge-chan than with some random 3D slut but that doesn't mean I'm desperate, it's the opposite, it implies that I have standards.
Hahahaha I'm so glad I got into watch BS videos on YouTube this year so I can appreciate this.
For normal people here who apparently are not on my level of autism: Archies regular videos have such a smug, self satisfied air and he obviously sees himself as this hilarious genius rebel of the luxury watch world. All while being purposely as loud and annoying as possible.
So it is funny to see him absolutely lose it.
The only thing that could come close to this is that literal hipster who spends half his videos jerking off about how China #1 because of the existence of seagull watch movements.
Doesn't seagull make parts for one of the major watch companies? They brag about making 20 million movements a year.
Who buys them? Is it Richemont (IWC, JLC, Lange, Panemi, VC, Cartier, Montblanc, Dunhill, etc) or Swatch (Blancpain, Breguet, Omega, Longines) or some other group?
My understanding is that on the higher end seagull sells a spectrum from make-a-movement or select parts so that employees in Switzerland can "assemble" it and it can be sold with the "Swiss movement" label.
Yeah. The broader EU is even more loosey goosey with it.
I mean, who gets a mechanical these days for anything other then hobbyist/collectors/cultural value anyway. Does it really matter to me if a non tourbillion swiss watch is a couple seconds a day different from a non tourbillion Chinese watch... if it mattered that much I'll just get a Casio.

Tissot is a good example of this.

So it's kinda like Japanese stuff where the high end is made in Japan, and the low end is "made in Japan".

I think Archie does get it right when he says not to pay too much attention to tourbillions. If the accuracy mattered you can just get a fitbit.

literally who? the only watch youtuber anyone should pay attention to is TGV

Hot take - a quartz Casio does everything a Vostok does better, other than letting people know you couldn't afford a luxury watch.

Sure but does the second hand seep? Didn’t think so
