Now, why the hell is he doing this? Why is he, as a furry, encouraging hate and scorn towards his own kind, by having a subreddit dedicated to showcasing the weird/gross things furries do in public? I don't get it, and think he should be called out on this. I mean I'm not a furry but I dont hate them and I think that this is ridiculous, and think that everyone should be aware of this.

I actually read up on that, the convention was at fault (and had been at fault for 4 years before that) for not doing anything about the kinksters, so over time more and more of them saw it as a safe space and that ruined the image of the con. But what really did it was one saboteur who damaged the hotel and placed diapers all over the place, and if your convention's staff can't catch one guy, your con deserves to be shut down lmao.

Also, I'm not usually one to judge people for their kinks, but I've been thinking that maybe PoorLilMarco being a literal cuckold is somewhat related to this? I know exactly why he's doing this. And by he, I mean why would I do it in his shoes. To understand why, you must first understand the Furry fandom. Despite what they will tell you, yes it is a sexual thing and yes it is degenerate. What actually matters though, is how degenerate the fur is.
To explain levels of Furgeneracy, I will use the internationally recognized language: memes. First is the furry level chart. There are several versions of this, but they all show the same thing. If you are curious, I am a 2, maybe a 3 if the art isn't shit. 2 to 3 is what you could consider as least furgenerate as one in the fandom can be. These people, like I, only really have any interest in the anthro art style. For example, I like most fictional universes that have several races of human-like and non-human people coexisting such as Elder Scrolls.
The second meme is the Harkness Test. This is pretty straightforward, however this shouldn't really even be needed. Why anybody would want to fuck a creature that's beyond a 2 is quite frankly unknown to me.
With that knowledge you now understand what it is like for us 1's and 2's. The fandom is over-run with 3's and up. Fursuits are cringey, erotic roleplay is weird, fursonas are autistimo and I've even read studies that like 1/5 furs are into actual, real life animals which is way past degeneracy and into actual evil. Why I think he's doing it, or why I would do it, is to spur hate to the 3's and up, or better yet the 5's and up in order to make myself feel more normal and to deflect hate away from us moderates.
