Can confirm. If you go to that PTT website mentioned in the article, some of the board is filled with Taiwanese men complaining about girls going full CCR (Cross-Culture Romance). Pretty much straight up calling them whores.

I think the problem is, if you go the nightclubs, you will see girls looking for a hookup, and White guy hooking up girls would be more eyeball-catching than a regular Taiwanese guy hooking up girls. Plus the exotic feeling from the look really creates a weird dynamic in the hookup scene in Taiwan.

Never went to a nightclub myself. All of the came from my observation walking in Taipei, and of numerous stories I have heard in Taiwan.

I agree some of the triggering methods are poor taste but you have to admit Taiwanese media always over sensationalizes any little thing a white guy does there. A white guy recently threw a banana peel into a bush on a rural road in the middle of nowhere and it became front page news with people wanting to kill the guy. However almost every day I see Taiwanese people leaving their trash all over the place outside and throwing it wherever they want. Where is the outrage for that? Taiwanese media doesn't fact check because they just want to feed off the racist rage they know a lot of people have towards white people in Taiwan.
