And all the people in that sub praising that rant.
This isn’t the first time mach has been racist against another non-white person. There was some drama maybe half a year ago where he insulted a SRD mod (iirc) for being Native American.
We have blackladies which is being controlled by a power hungry biracial trying to turn the sub into a hangout for tragic mullatos coupled with another black woman who just does nothing but lie to get her "enemies banned" because they said something that could hurt her white husband's feelings.
Fucking lol. And he still came across as more reasonable than the other guys. What fucking timeline is this?
Yeah, i feel like this is the kind of drama that needs a decent write up before hand. Even if you've been following along, sometimes you need a refresher between episodes.
Her username is based on a song popular with Confederate soldiers. I'd bring this up with both boards but I've been banned for who I ows what. The Yellow Rose is a weird smug biracial chick who has always rubbed me the wrong way.
The earliest known version is found in Christy's Plantation Melodies. No. 2, a songbook published under the authority of Edwin Pearce Christy in Philadelphia in 1853. Christy was the founder of the blackfaceminstrel show known as the Christy's Minstrels. Like most minstrel songs, the lyrics are written in a cross between the dialect historically spoken by African-Americans and standard American English. The song is written in the first person from the perspective of an African-American singer who refers to himself as a "darkey," longing to return to "a yellow girl," a term used to describe a light-skinned bi-racial woman born of African-American and white progenitors"
Dude you'll get banned for no reason on both subs. I know black people on other subs who have no idea why they were banned. They love preaching black solidarity but they're a bunch of hypocrites wrapped in their smug "wokeness" gatekeeping for black thought. I hate how were arguing and putting on a show for white people (this thread) but fuck em.
Pshh. On blackladies it'd be "My white boyfriend held the door open for me" and they'd all jump in congratulating her and praising white bae. That's why some of this drama started. A user made a thread about her white boyfriend packing a bonnet on the way to the hospital and how he deserved extra praise for understanding what's important to maintenance of black hair. A guy made a parody thread on black fellas and that just shook the hive. They don't like being called out for being a WMBF sub and trash black men/men in general way too often. You can't call it out though or you're a hotep or promoting misogynoir or some other memey made up "woke" term.
Bro don't get me started. They throw shade at any black man with a non-black woman, even a light skinned black girl. You wouldn't believe the hate they had for Childish Gambino's This is America and took umbridgde that he's married to a white woman. That board is full of sick fucks. Not all of them but too many. I will say that other users there have called it out.
I don't care if someone dates interracially. Ain't my life nor business. Who you fuck don't make me cum. And BL views on IRR isn't something I can just summarize and simplify. Unless you've been in and around the sub for a while, you won't understand.
Apparently someone was accused of calling a BL mod "bitches" and it was a lie. Weird thing is , I was the one who said it. On that day with a different account that'sbeen removed. I'm wondering if she (Maximae?) confused me with someone else. I got banned for something small and called said "fuck you bitches". There's a reason she can't prove it was the person she banned for it, was probably meant for me.

The 40 shatters to pieces, representing the breaking of family values and ties.
I'm super far OOTL and I cant find a Rosetta stone for what's going on. I'll list what I've discerned so far. Somebody comment on what I'm missing.
PersonA in LADIES sub made a post about her white husband remembering her hair bonnet and hair items for going to the hospital. She gave him kudos for remembering.
PersonB in FELLAS sub made a parody post making fun of the unironic celebratory nature of a white guy remembering the items his wife needs.
PersonA, PersonC, PersonD, and PersonE had a convo about the situation on discord. They plotted on how to get at PersonB.

This led to PersonA and PersonB looking outside of reddit for the personal information of PersonD. Either to get back at her or to talk to her.
In PersonA and PersonB pursuing PersonD, they asked PersonF if he knew any info on PersonD?
/brief aside here. But *PersonF is the most well written supporting character in this saga. Morally consistent and upstanding and key cog to keep driving the story forward and keep the pacing right*/
PersonF tells PersonA and PersonB that he doesnt have any info on PersonD. He then offers that they should stop pursuing PersonD and focus on fixing the messiness of the LADIES sub and get it back on track and in control. PersonF screenshots the the convo for congressional record.
PersonD finds out that they are being covertly pursued by PersonA and PersonC.
So PersonD pulls and Eric Snowden. Or, if you're knocking on the door of 30 like me, she pulls a Jason Bourne and goes live on the covert actions and exposes what they've been trying to do in a post on the FELLAS sub.
PersonG who just got through working a double shift as the dad on Everybody hates Chris, runs the FELLAS sub, he asks if PersonD has any proof of the accusation.
PersonF steps forward and shows the screenshot of him telling PersonA and PersonC to stop pursuing PersonD but they refused.
PersonG conducts an investigation and posts a summary of events in the FELLAS sub and recommends PersonA and PersonC step down as mods. He also ends the ban on PersonB.
PersonB comes storming back with a tirade about his version of events, also refuting some aspects of PersonG's summary.
PersonE, who I'm convinced is J. Prince, is birdman hand rubbing in the shadows after pulling a littlefinger/Serbian and setting the powder keg ablaze with no direct involvement.
Right only slightly. This is a beef and power struggle that is quite a few years old. It boils down to ideological differences between the BL and BF reddits.
There is a major abuse of power and brigading that goes on in the BL sub and somehow without consent of the userbase installed members of their clique as moderators of BF.
They shamelessly use their mod status to push their narrative and worldview that is quite removed from the average black persons experience and power Trip quite often they have an exclusive discord channel and slack to collude against "problem" (people who express views they don't agree with) users as well.
There are some notorious figures on the BL side that are known to engage in unscrupulous practices(doxxing, stalking, harrassing) against anyone who doesn't defer to their perspective on black issues or blackness IrbyTremor being one mentioned in this thread.
A final bit of information for cultural outsiders in pro black and black liberation circles it is generally frowned upon to have a white SO due to the historical baggage (look up swirling and wenching). Most of the BL userbase have white partners and culturally identify with whiteness this obviously conflicts with the ideology. This leads to BL elevating issues such as catcalling above extrajudicial murders and police brutality because that only affects black people we don't like anyway.
BF have called this behavior over the years claiming it is a white worshipping sub that is out of touch with real black issues only to be hit with retaliatory bans and accusations of misogyny.
So not only is this a beef between their internal clique it is also an philosophical battle that has been going on for a few years now.
BF and BL are effectively the same subreddits now through various forms of mod abuse and favoritism.
Some real game of thrones shit.
I've been there from the start and have observed since the beginning. While you have the incident partially right it is much bigger than that.
Users who don't fall in line with the party narrative are brigaded or outright banned by the mod team clique.
This has lead to the depopulation of both subs to the same 10 or so users who post the same content and praise each other for how awesome and righteous their views are.
Years back the userbase was larger and had more diverse perspectives and opinions however all dissenters and problem users have been banned.
I kind of got the undertones of a long standing struggle implied in a few aspects of the incident surrounding this last flair up.
Just being someone who subbed to both threads within the last year, I was just trying to wrap my head around this one issue first. Also if someone else were to read it, I didn't want to be to biased in one conclusion or another.
But from the few threads I've read, it does seem as though it involves the BL mods being overbearing in having their worldview exist over all others. I also never saw the first post about the white husband, but on the face of it, it seems like something that would deserve a parody and nobody should be so thinskinned as to lash out against that.
Overall, its unfortunate to see black spaces beef like this. I've been seeking out active black subs for awhile. I simply like those spaces because I don't have to explain contextual black history and base level sociology terminology when discussing political issues in this country. I've found in other reddits that you have to unpack terms like gentrification, redlining, white privilege, cultural appropriation etc before you can even have an appropriate discussion about their implications.
It's much like having to explain and describe the color red before being able to have a discussion bullfighting. Its exhausting and irritating.
It's pretty frustrating to know that individuals are abusing their privileges to limit and dictate the discussion among a community.
But, it's to be expected I guess. Every subreddit has its offputting quirks about what is acceptable to post, so you take the good with the bad, I guess
