Sure. I agree with this, especially about the settling and mostly when it comes to the the extremes of ugly and hot. But for most people(below to above average) the numbers get sketchy. It really becomes a mess when you try to rate averageish people since there's a whole mess of different subjective factors involved.

I think with the movement towards a more global monoculture and the rise of online dating where you have people's stats listed out in numbers, I think it will be harder for people who don't follow mainstream convention to get hookups and dates. The pressure to look and act a certain specific way will probably become more intense as people see to find partners with socially desirable stats.
