Hey /u/david_hustlesoft quick question, why do you think people living in community housing are good parents despite not being able to provide for their 11 children?
He is a bad father because provisions are required to succeed as a father. The guy being a low income poor, an living in the second most expensive city in the country, and putting the burden on the baby mamas/the state make him a bad dad.
Not to mention the fact that one of the main reasons social workers believe somalian families fail economically an educationally is because having so many kids crammed in a small home make it impossible to teach reading or hone higher learning skills.
Having that many kids in the developed world is setting them up for failure.
Being poor an having 1 to 2 children isnt optimal but I wouldnt place them as bad parents.
That said having over 5, yeah you got a solvable child making problem that due to your lack of attention has resulted in a chaotic environment for the child that society has to pay for because youre incapable of internalising the costs. In that scenario, you are a bad parent. If you're a dad with 11 kids, why the hell are you rolling with dudes with guns?
You have literally 11 mouths to feed.
That said the dude was poor, had multiple baby mamas, an lived in community housing.
So yeah trash dad who under no circumstances had the means or time to care for these kids.
I think we all should donate to him (£22 £2 for each kid 👍) give them the life they deserve, they have had it hard. Esspecialy after slavery and Donald trump 🤔🍊

What makes you think he was not able to provide for his 11 children? Is that simply an assumption you're making?

I'm completely shocked that the average r/toronto user has no idea what government assistance is.
