"What is your full legal name?" is the biggest softball question in the history of politics and a mod called it a loaded question. So yes, people in /r/Hawaii are upset about this.

And as a matter of reference, a current Hawaii State House member (the same position Ing currently has), who is a Democrat (the same party as Ing), who is also running for the same US House seat, had an AMA the same day (or a day prior), and those mods didn't delete a single comment.
