SA was the first state ('self-governing province' at the time) to give women the vote and to give Indigenous men and women the vote. More recently, it was the first state to decriminalise homosexuality. Weed is practically legalised. Even more recently, SA is the #1 state for transgender rights.

Of course, all of these morally wrong mistakes. But they are undoubtedly progressive.

What I don’t understand is, was the $600 bucks his money or the girls money? Why would you need someone to set up a bank account for you (maybe b/c dirty money? Idk)? If it was the girl’s money I understand him withholding it from them since they are worthless junkies that will never pay him back since they won’t ever have money that isn’t needed “for her children/heroin”. If it was his money I obviously understand why he didn’t give them the PIN, because then you’re just rewarding getting robbed by...being robbed again.

Tbh I used to be much more understanding and patient with drug addicts but I got burned too many times by them taking advantage of my niceness.
