I order my groceries from woolies here in queensland and guess what...
They all come in plastic bags, a lot of it in plastic bags inside the 'reusable' plastic bags.
So, basically we're using the reusable bags as trash bags, just like we were before with the single use ones. The only one here winning is woolies, who charges a few cents now for each bag.
Why are they moving to "reusable" plastic bags? That seems like a half-assed solution. I bought a stack of these about 8 years ago. They're all still going strong.
Nah they aren't just pissed. One employee got strangled by a guy over the plastic bags. Like FFS get over yourselves and just buy a fucking reusable bag. Sometimes I hate my country.
A shitload of people here legit have anger management problems and sulk or outright over-react over the tiniest thing. Also they have no idea how to speak to/treat retail or customer service people.
Like just buy the fucking 15c bag and don't put your hands around a complete stranger's throat. How fucking difficult is it?
It's like of like how Hollywood constantly uses hard-ass motherfuckers swearing their heads off. But go to California and they'll practically piss themselves if you use a "cuss word".
Mate, I'm from the UK and living in Aus, and it's shocking. Everyone is like "haha whinging pom" if I mention one thing that's a bit sub-par, meanwhile there's a geezer going into Woolies and putting his hands round a staff member's throat over fucking bags. What the fuck.
But go to California and they'll practically piss themselves if you use a "cuss word".
Yeah, it's fun to say cunt in front of people like that. Can't wait to go for a visit.

/r/Australia is absolute hilarity. It's up there with /r/GamerGhazi and /r/Anarchism

so the recipe for hilarity is to populate a sub with uni / college age champagne socialists and watch it fester?
sounds good

DAE revolution? But this time in crikey

I'm always down for a good revolution. Problem is that it doesn't really work when you try to in a peaceful and legal way.

People below 21 shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Need proof? Just look at edgy teen alt-righters or anarchists.

You're talking about people that are too stupid to bring a bag, here.
Putting socks on is probably difficult for them.

For a country that likes to act like the "cool uncle" of the world, Australia is full of whiny cunts.

You have no fucking idea.
