If you literally just ask commies what they think life would be like under "real" communism, the best thing in their opinions is that no one has to work if they don't want to. And yet they'll still make fun of you if you say there's an incentive problem in communism.
And they don't understand that by the rest of the world's standards, they are the rich.
Americans have this weird idea that if you don't have a swimming pool and a gold toilet that you're "poor." It's actually really fucking bizarre.
If Mommy and Daddy pay your rent and your own expensive tech gadgets and luxury items, I hate to break it to you, but you're extremely rich compared to the rest of the world.
These people are ingrates. They see inequality in the present day and they're filled with envy, but if they just paid attention to inequality over time (the level of wealth the poor/middle class has now compared to even the rich 50 years ago), they'd be glad. You have access to technology that would have been unfathomable 50 years ago, and you can put that technology in your pocket -- even as a working class person. Literally no one in America starves without either being severely mentally ill or lost in the woods or something.
But nah, let's smash the system that's given us all that garbage. We could do a million times better.

People routinely survive diseases that would have been a death sentence just 30 or 40 years ago. The working class no longer have to toil in unending back-breaking labor in filthy and extremely dangerous jobs.
