In all seriousness though, they're not inconsiderate because they're chinese, it's because they're poor.

Chinese people are pretty inconsiderate from my experience. They don't understand personal space and queuing....my opinion is based purely on anecdotal experiences from traveling in Asia and living in San Francisco

Edit: a couple of the more annoying anecdotes

I was on a flight from China to NYC and about an hour into the flight a Chinese guy opens up a Tupperware with some kind of fermented fish dish....it smelled so fucking bad it made me gag. He opened it up periodically about ever 3 hours for the duration of the flight.

On that same flight my girlfriend and I bought an extra seat so we'd have more room. I was lying with my body on both seats, my girlfriend was lying on me. I got up to take a piss and when I came back a Chinese lady from across the aisle had put her bag in my seat. I asked her to move it but she didn't speak English so I asked the stewardess who spoke English and I guess she ignored me, idk, she didn't do shit, I pushed the bag on the ground and laid back down

When I lived in the bay I took the 8x which is an Express bus that goes through China town. If you sat in a seat people would basically sit in your lap but I got so used to that that it didn't bother me. This one time a Chinese lady got on the bus with a live chicken under her arm. The bus driver told her that wasn't allowed and she'd have to get off at the next stop. At the next stop the chicken lady stepped off, swung the chicken around like Pedi Pablo's shirt breaking its neck then got back on.

I was on a train from Bangkok to Chiangmai, I'd paid for a seat that turns into a bed because it was a 14hr trip. At about 6 hrs in train employees come through and convert your seat. After my seat was converted I sat up in it and read, there was a Chinese couple who decided to sit at the end of my bed and hang out because the car I was in had ac and the others didn't. I didn't care because I didn't need the space and I'm not a dick. A few hrs went by and i was ready to sleep so i asked them to move in Thai, then English. They just looked at me and giggled. I Laid down and tried to deal with it but got so annoyed that I pushed both of them off then immediately closed the curtain.

I have numerous stories of Chinese people ignoring lines for things and trampling each other to be first but it's happened so many times that it's a blur.

Is this racist? I don't think so

It seems pretty inconsiderate to go somewhere and expect the people there to follow your cultural norms.

You mean Chinese people in Thailand? The Chinese are notorious for being inconsiderate travellers...when they're issued Visas for Thailand and other SouthEast Asian countries they're given special guidelines to follow because they're so rude

Just fucking around nan. I'd rather sleep on the floor than take some seats.

I really think it's due to living in such densely populated areas where personal space becomes non existent on mass transit and places where people gather

I'd also add that they probably have different language dialects or some shit, so most of them cant understand each other.

So it's densely populated and you have no idea what everyone else is saying half of the time.

It's the aftermath of the Cultural Revolution.

chinese travellers are the fucking worst, no matter where you go on this planet. they're basically a human locust swarm

That sounds mildly infuriating

OP, the worst thing about this is that you actually care that a random reddit thread was locked

Some mod we had at r/comedycemetery added this joker, and then left the mod team like the next day, and since then, he did nothing at all that helped us mod the sub in any way shape or form.
