There's no difference between paying taxes for one public good (communal fire services) and another public good (communal access to healthcare).
The person claiming "universal healthcare would be SOESHULISM!!!" while almost assuredly not realizing that they already rely on numerous public services (fire protection, electricity, access to water, public schools, etc) is the retard, not the person pointing out the hypocrisy.
The idea of welfare state was created and implemented by authoritarian royalists (Bismark, Habsburgs), it was then improved by fascists (actual fascists and 'fascists').
