(((Sam Harris))) did an episode of his podcast with a black American named Coleman Hughes. They discuss the bipartisan and unifying topic of race.

 

Sam Harris has been taking shit from his fans ever since his podcast episode with the editor-at-large of Vox; Ezra Klein, where they talked about race and IQ. Harris defended the correlation between race and IQ, whereas Klein claimed that this was racist science. Harris is a left-leaning person, and so are his fans. And a very large portion of his fans really grouped up against Harris on this one. Thread of said episode(4,000+ replies)

The most recent episode with Hughes rekindled this hatred of Harris, which was amplified by the fact that Coleman Hughes is a 22 year old philosophy under-grad (most guests of the podcast at least have a PhD). Harris invited him because he believes Hughes' was able to spit some truth in the mayos face with his Quillette articles.

But this isn't the main flesh of the drama, obviously. The real shit starts at the subreddit. The frontpage speaks for itself. Top posts either a) Attack Harris and Hughes, b) Try to look neutral, or c) Talk about Isreal, because this is a Jew-centered subreddit after all. Keep in mind that group A overwhelms B, and there's literally no one running to their defense; and also that this is /r/samharris, the man's own subreddit.

The reaction to this episode on this thread/sub proves Sam and Coleman's point. You can't even have a civil conversation about race without tons of people losing their damn minds.
