The reason why women don't get seriously when they complain is sexism, full stop.
It has nothing to do with the culture of overreacting to every little thing, plus the fact that doctors are trained to not hand out narcotics like candy. Lets just fantasize about an imaginary entitled male that is getting help for any and all of his pain (LOL).
