What it really means is that you can be vague as fuck and it won't matter. Because in these cultures if you're high status no-one will question you being vague, and if you're not high status no-one will care what you're trying to say.

I kinda agree. A lot of cultures have this "high context" bullshit where you can be incredibly vague and ambiguous and it's OK.
