Jeremy Corbyn awkwardly admits to have attended a ceremony honoring a dead Palestinian thought to have killed one of the Israeli athletes killed in Munich '72. But is honoring terrorists worse than Brexit? Brits and Europeans debate during this dramawave.

As you know, Labour Party has been in the middle of controversy lately for harboring several, let's say, less than Jewish-friendly politicians and officials. Its leader, Jeremy Corbyn, has been accused of anti-Semitism by several Jewish associations in the UK, and his closeness to the pro-Palestine movement hasn't made this easier.

So when he confirms a report that he was "present when the wraith was laid": (https://mobile.twitter.com/Jamin2g/status/1028983556939415552) on the tomb of a Palestinian thought to have been involved in the 1972 Munich attacks, rather awkwardly (since he follows the comment by saying “I don’t think I was actually involved in it.”), drama got ready to blitzkrieg its way through Europe:

From /r/UK/'s thread:

"Explain to me why laying down the wreath would be bad.": https://www.reddit.com/r/unitedkingdom/comments/96yj6a/jeremy_corbyn_thinks_he_did_not_lay_wreath_to/e4481yf/

"Reckon anyone actually believes he’s anti semtic? The media is sucha fucking joke. Imagine hounding a man over this when the countries been plundered by brexit and Putin": https://www.reddit.com/r/unitedkingdom/comments/96yj6a/jeremy_corbyn_thinks_he_did_not_lay_wreath_to/e444hli/?context=1

From /r/UKPolitics, thread #1:

"Am I missing something? This seems completely trivial given everything we have to worry about in the UK right now.": https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/96y2dv/jeremy_corbyn_thinks_he_did_not_lay_wreath_to/e4428gx/

"I dislike the label "terrorist" we label all "enemy combatants" specifically in a lopsided conflict, as "terrorists."": https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/96y2dv/jeremy_corbyn_thinks_he_did_not_lay_wreath_to/e448jyv/

"Since the West utilised "Shock and Awe" tactics, a method that fits the description of terrorism perfectly, are we not terrorists too?": https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/96y2dv/jeremy_corbyn_thinks_he_did_not_lay_wreath_to/e448jyv/

"It seems to me that when a people are oppressed, and lash out at their oppressors, they're called "terrorists" thanks to the only viable target to them being the populace of the opposing force.": https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/96y2dv/jeremy_corbyn_thinks_he_did_not_lay_wreath_to/e448jyv/

Is it not also important to note that none of these people were ever proven to be terrorists and whilst some of them may have been involved some of them really likely weren't?: https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/96y2dv/jeremy_corbyn_thinks_he_did_not_lay_wreath_to/e448jk8/?context=1

Bonus Jordan Peterson drama:

"It's amazing the lengths Corbynistas will go too isn't it. Some of them are on the same level as Jordan Peterson fanatics. Only in this case it's their LARP Granddaddy instead of LARP Daddy.": https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/96y2dv/jeremy_corbyn_thinks_he_did_not_lay_wreath_to/e440yy7/?context=1

From /r/UKPolitics, thread #2:

"On the one hand Corbyn, before he became party leader, was stupidly co-opted into a wreath laying ceremony for terrorists/freedom fighters depending on your point of view.On the other hand Theresa May is selling weapons to Saudi Arabia who are currently bombing the shit out women and children in Yemen.": https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/96y6h8/jeremy_corbyn_i_was_present_when_the_wreath_was/e4417ai/

"This post really highlights how the Israelis have won the propaganda war. I remember when I was a kid, there were two sides. The Palestinian authority wasn't a terrorist organisation, people thought you know, we did kick them out of their homeland maybe they have some rights.": https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/96y6h8/jeremy_corbyn_i_was_present_when_the_wreath_was/e444e08/?context=1

"Could you name for me some of the 'infamous Palestinian terrorists' killed in Israel's illegal bombing of the PLO HQ in Tunisia?": https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/96y6h8/jeremy_corbyn_i_was_present_when_the_wreath_was/e442xd5/?context=1

/r/Europe pounced on the story as well:

"Smear campaign continues": https://www.reddit.com/r/europe/comments/96yx3o/jeremy_corbyn_admits_being_present_at/e448v3e/

"Corbyn is the best party leader I've ever seen the UK produce. The rest have all been warmongering, right wing posh boys/girls.": https://www.reddit.com/r/europe/comments/96yx3o/jeremy_corbyn_admits_being_present_at/e44bvv4/

When pictures of him in that ceremony are posted:

"I’m aware of this but he does these things for peace not for any sinister motive.": https://www.reddit.com/r/europe/comments/96yx3o/jeremy_corbyn_admits_being_present_at/e44cu3v/?context=1

I am a bot. (Info / Contact)

More proof that hbomberguy is a gay retard.

Retard honestly just hates Jews, imo. Funny, considering his whole worth is on their platform.

With Labour going full-on Marxist-Leninist and 1488, have they become radical centrist?

Marx hated the Jews. He was the first one who talked about the „Jewish Question“.

And here I thought his uncle was a rabbi and his dad converted for some sweet government job.

One can be a ethnic Jew and hate Jews. Marx called for the eradication of Jewish culture.

wtf i love marx now

I think he hated what he perceived as Jewish culture, but it wasn’t a racial hatred against Jews, which wouldn’t have made sense as he was descended from Jews himself.

Also, the Jewish Question wasn’t necessarily an anti-Semitic meme in the beginning. It was simply the societal debate over what the European Jews as a people should do, (or what should be done with them) ranging from going back to the Holy Land (Zionism) to full assimilation with the Gentiles, to extermination (most infamously promoted by the Nazis).

I think he hated what he perceived as Jewish culture, but it wasn’t a racial hatred against Jews

i only hate black culture,,

I only hate mayo culture.

So is this better or worse than hating "the international Jewry"

I think he hated what he perceived as Jewish culture, but it wasn’t a racial hatred against Jews, which wouldn’t have made sense as he was descended from Jews himself.

I can sympathize with this. I don't hate mayos for being born with white skin. I hate cultural mayos because they pretend IPAs taste good and think that whatever shit HBO puts out is high art.

He was the first one who talked about the „Jewish Question“

Are you retarded? The majority of Karl Marx's "On the Jewish Question" is a response to Bruno Bauer's "The Jewish Question". That's what the title is referring to.

Let's be honest, dropping a nuclear bomb on a million puppies would be seen as better than brexit in r/unitedkingdom.

Furthering the doggocide agenda is always a good thing, tho.

He's already gone on the offensive by putting Netenyahu on blast for some reason.

I've spent 15 minutes on this and I still can't tell if the guys in the grave were actually from Black September or not. For an issue that everyone is so butthurt about, you'd think someone would give us the list of their names.

Deliberately targetting innocent civilians, is sometimes the only option when your enemy has a vastly superior force, and if you're fighting against an enemy with a vastly superior force, who is the bad guy really?

woooow

He makes Trump look compentent.
