I can't believe I'm doing this, but here are several people saying that Mexican Spanish is generally slower than Caribbean Spanish (most Spanish speakers in America who aren't from Mexico or elsewhere in Central America are from the Caribbean). Spanish in general is spoken faster than English, but Mexican is considered to be a slower variety.

In English, "ye/you/your/yours" used to be the second person plural pronoun. "Thou/thee/thy/thine" was informal singular and "you/you/your/yours" was formal singular.
